Short, plain and honest. Using ExplorersIndex means agreeing to these.
Who you are dealing with
This site is ExplorersIndex, an independent fan project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft, Warcraft and Blizzard Entertainment are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., and official game artwork is theirs; we use it for editorial content and credit it.
What the site does
ExplorersIndex collects official news, blue posts and game builds, publishes game data from confirmed builds, and runs a raid planner that works on the website and through our Discord bot. It is free, and it is a development preview: features change, and parts of it are still being built.
Your account
- You sign in with Discord. Keep your Discord account secure, because anyone who has it has your raids.
- You need to be old enough to use Discord where you live (13 in most countries, more in some).
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for following Discord's own terms.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
What you write here
Raid names, descriptions, character names, notes, rulesets and screenshots stay yours. By putting them here you allow us to store them and show them where they belong: on the site, in the Discord channels your server chose, and in calendar feeds you or your party subscribe to. You confirm you are allowed to share what you upload.
Please do not post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, or that impersonates someone else. Do not upload other people's screenshots as your own. Gallery submissions are reviewed before they appear, and we can decline or remove one without a lengthy explanation.
Raids and servers
A raid that belongs to a Discord server is run by that server's raid managers. They can edit the roster, add someone by hand, change a sign-up's character, class or role, name a raid leader, and cancel the raid. They cannot move a sign-up to a different person. Every change is written to the raid's history, which managers can read.
Fair use
Use the site as a person, not as a machine: no scraping beyond our public feeds, no attempts to break authentication or rate limits, no using the planner to spam Discord servers. We may suspend an account or remove content that breaks these rules or endangers the service.
No promises about uptime
The service is provided as it is, free of charge, with no warranty. We take backups and we watch it closely, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, including for death, personal injury, or our own intent or gross negligence.
Changes and endings
We may change these terms as the project grows; the date at the top says when we last did. If a change matters, we will say so in the changelog and on the site. You can stop using ExplorersIndex at any time, and deleting your account removes what is yours. The privacy policy says exactly what goes and what stays.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections your own country's law gives you.
