Unfortunately, that is often true, as people will fill that silence with all kinds of narratives that don’t always have any basis in reality. Just because World of Warcraft: Forever has been announced doesn’t mean that the other versions of the game aren’t going to continue to be around. WoW: Forever Beta just released, so the focus for that team is on that. The focus for a lot of players who want to check it out, are on that.
What does that mean for the future? It is unlikely anyone can accurately predict that, especially no one in Customer Support. Forever isn’t going to be for everyone, just like Modern isn’t, or Classic Era, or Classic Progression. Time will tell, but no word doesn’t mean doom for another version, it just means there isn’t anything to say.
